Porcelain Dolls

I made this bride doll for a grand daughter when she was young. It is about 14 inches tall. When the grand daughter grew up, it was used in her Bridal showers.

I painted the flesh and hair with a special paint, on the greenware, and high fired it to porcelain.

The hat is removable and her bridal bouquet is hand made.

I made this bride & groom for another grand daughter's wedding shower. It has been used several times by others by just changing the silk flower bouquet.

When this doll came out of the kiln, it had numerous cracks in the ribbon at the back. I just made more roses, stuck them on over the cracks, refired and it fixed it.

This cutie is only 4 inches tall. It was a challenge sewing her clothes and gluing on her hair one curl at a time.

I entered these trick or treat kids in a doll show on the display on the right. They didn't win.

This baby and the one below were made with the same mold. They can be made to look so different with hair color & dress. I sometimes use these dolls in the bow on baby gifts in the family.

This is a different mold. There are 4 in the set. They are all so real looking

His suit was a challenge to crochet. Notice his golf club. I bought it in the miniature isle.

This doll is about 2 inches tall and displayed in a crocheted egg.

This baby is about 1 1/2 inches tall. The carriage is a Christmas ornament.

This carriage is also a Christmas ornament.

The doll is about 2 inches tall.

This is my cute little Shirley Temple doll. She is about 4 inches tall. I crocheted her dress with very tiny thread while I sat with my aged mother a few years ago.

This doll is a "Popet doll". She can be posed in many ways. I made several like the one behind her and dressed them all differently. It is a challenge sewing by hand for these small dolls, but lots of fun.

These next two dolls are pouty little things. She is 6 inches tall, but was still a challenge to sew for. I smocked her dress and made her a beaded purse to match the dress.

He is about 5 inches tall.

I won a blue ribbon at a doll show with this display. The little girl holds a flower while the boy holds a frog.

This one is one of about a dozen bell molds which make ornaments. She is about 5 inches tall.

These are 2 inch dolls I have painted. They are ready to be dressed. I make tiny panties for under their dresses.

These boy & girl twins are sweet and old fashioned.
